Agriculture and Community
Agriculture and Community should always be in the same conversation because we all must eat. While a reductionist agrarian model aids in efficiency it fails in understanding. We believe everyone should know their farmer.
About Us
Taylor is the 4th generation to farm. With agrarian roots tracebly starting with his great grandfathers on both sides, one could say it is in his blood. Born and raised on a beef cattle farm and apple orchard in Vermont he participated in 4-H and worked summers at a ranch in Colorado in his youth. After pursuing a career outside of agriculture Taylor knew he needed cattle back in his life. Thus in 2018 he purchased Ridgeview Land and Cattle before meeting Leah. Leah is the 3rd generation to farm in her family. Her grandfather started a row cropping operation in Southern Illinois where she was raised. Leah's parents continue to row crop today. Leah was raised around tractors but also showed hogs in 4-H. Leah and Taylor met in 2019, married in 2022, and together are the 1st generation of Ridgeview.
Continuing
Education
Our library overflows with information and experiences of others. We love to learn and to try new things. We always welcome the option to participate in farm studies or share the little knowledge we have with others. We are certainly early adopters and strive to be innovators.
